 As they walked onto my set, the ever joking Paul and Ringo took their places just in front of my mark. I reached down to adjust my lighting when Paul said to Ringo with a laugh, “Oh, Rob’s not ready.” He then leaned in to Ringo with a kiss and I quickly raised my camera and got the shot. Ringo replied, “See, I told you he was fast.” They laughed, which is the next story.

 I’ve been asked many times, “What’s your favorite photograph?” This one is a definite contender. Charlie was in town with the Rolling Stones, so I made a call to Ringo and Jim Keltner to arrange a get-together. The four of us met the next day at Ringo’s house where we hung out, talked and played drums. That’s when I captured this moment with these two drum legends. We then went and sipped tea poolside.
